Star Trek: TNG | "Stardate" | Transcription & Analysis

Star Trek: The Next Generation debuted in 1987 with its pilot episode "Encounter at Farpoint". Scored by legendary television & film composer Dennis McCarthy, "Stardate" is the very first cue heard after the main title credits (featuring Jerry Goldsmith's famous Star Trek theme).

This will likely be a long-running series of Star Trek music transcriptions and analyses. A lot of this will be included in and derived from my PhD thesis which happens to be on the music of Star Trek.
